Improvised cooling battery
We were on vacation and had no cooler and therefore no cooling batteries with. Before the trip home, we had bought one and another treat in Italy, which should ideally be stored in the refrigerator and transported cool.
We then simply filled two three disposable water bottles with tap water and packed them into the freezer of the holiday home. Before the trip home then just put it in the bag with the food to be chilled and everything stays cool and fresh at home.
