Interesting skewers of meatballs and brussels sprouts

Recently, I needed some ideas for a cozy evening with friends and prepared these skewers: Brussels sprouts-hamburger skewers with dates and prunes wrapped in black forest ham.

ingredients

  • 8-10 as long as possible sprouts of Brussels sprouts
  • Meatballs - raw and seasoned from the freshness / cooling counter
  • prunes
  • Datteln
  • Breakfast bacon or here: Black Forest ham
  • little frying fat of your choice

For the dip (optional: cocktail or shashlik sauce also works well):


  • mustard
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 Msp. Chili Powder
  • 1 Msp. Tarragon

preparation

  1. The Brussels sprouts are cleaned and almost cooked.
  2. Wrap either pitted dates or prunes with raw ham or bacon for each skewer.
  3. Pre-formed or home-made meatballs in the same size, as well as brussels sprouts are impaled alternately.
  4. Brown the skewers in the pan from all sides.

The sweetness of the fruit harmonizes well with the other savory ingredients.

For the dip I mixed mustard with pressed garlic, chili and some tarragon.

A winter salad of chicory and corn salad, garnished with walnuts, if you like the skewers? Solo? want to eat, so not in the context of a buffet.
