Keep flies away from the picnic
As soon as the garden guests have comfortably gathered around the table, the flies are there. Particularly disgusting are the fat, fat blowflies, which have it on the potato salad and the meatballs apart.
There are countless tips on how to get rid of them. Here are three tricks that are really helpful:
Candles with lavender oil or direct lavender oil - it must be the real thing - put in small pots on the table. If you have lavender in the garden, you can also distribute twigs on the table.
Dishwashing detergent in glasses - but it must be a fruity scent, z. B. apple. Flowery scents or neutral fragrance - that does not work.
And now my absolute favorite - a table fan. Of course you need electricity in the garden, then you can connect it. Do not worry, the fan does not blow away the paper napkins in the middle of the table, but is placed on a stool or side table next to the dining table. If the fly is not totally stupid, it will not fly in a storm.
