Keep matt silver matt or glossy matt
Silver jewelery, which was either matt and which is supposed to be again or was never matt, but looks matt with certainty better than shining, can be simply (again) pimped:
Smooth evenly over the silver with the dark, rough side of a household sponge (this part is yellow-green). Try it out first on a great and unpopular piece of jewelry until you have the right technique on it (pressure, regularity ...).
I have given many pieces of jewelry a new coat of paint.
