Keep out annoying flies

Here are some tips to keep away annoying flies and mosquitoes.

Put the castor plants in the apartment. Flies and mosquitoes do not like these plants.
Distribute small bowls / vessels with a little vinegar in the house / room.
Make poison-free flying paper from pepper and syrup (eg maple syrup) (mix pepper with syrup and put blotting paper in it).
Camphor in an aroma lamp helps against mosquitoes.
Laurel oil works against flies. Put a few drops in a fragrance lamp, or in a ceramic pot.
Distribute lilac or dried lilac flowers in the apartment, which should also keep the pest spirits away.

Have not even tried all the tips (castor oil, laurel oil and lilac effect), so I'm looking forward to comments :-)
