Keep the butter outside the refrigerator cool
Sometimes, before a party, my husband stands in front of the fridge and looks for space for a champagne bottle: "Like, butter in the fridge ?!" it is called then.
So I take out my butter packets and keep them cool in the flowerpot. This is a tip from my grandmother, it is super easy:
Wrap the butter in moist sandwich paper. A new flower pot is placed in cold water until it has soaked and then slipped over the butter on a plate like a cheese bell. The evaporating water keeps the butter cool.
