Keeping roses fresh with newspaper
You get beautiful roses as a gift and do not have time through a short trip etc.? Put some cold water into the tub so that the roses are in it and put newspaper over it so that they are covered with it. You come back and your roses still look like fresh / new.
I had received roses for my 30th birthday (30 pieces) and then went to Paris for 4 days 2 days later ... I used this trick during my absence and lo and behold, I was back and the roses still beautiful like the first one Day.
