Knit triangular scarf but with five corners

Therefore, I would like to introduce the triangular scarf that has just been finished, because - unlike all of the knots I have known so far and knitted by me - there are no ugly corners at the two longitudinal ends:

At the longest edge of most triangular shawls, due to the decrease or increase, a point is created that often widens the shawl so much that the finished triangular shape no longer has any beautiful proportions. These corners are then often ugly in front of the body and can greatly diminish the overall impression. In the present model, this is precisely what has been avoided by the fact that in the last part of the knitted fabric on the right and left edge stitches have not continued to increase but on the contrary stitches have been taken. This resulted in this cloth instead of the "Zipfels" a straight in itself, in relation to the whole but slightly beveled edge and thus the announced five corners.

I can imagine that one or the other of you would like to try out this method at the next knitting or crocheting cloth ...

Anyone interested in details about the technology and the yarn

The cloth was begun with six stitches in the middle of the neck edge. By increases to the right and left of the two middle stitches and simultaneous increases in the two (outer) edge stitches, it received the ever-increasing triangular shape. The instructions I have taken from the book "Romantic Lace" TOPP series, described in the 20 wonderful lace scarves and stoles using a very good knitting font and presented with great great photos. The height of the finished cloth presented here along the center mesh row is 1m. At the widest point the cloth is 2 m long. I knitted wool from 100% Alpaca from Zitron. This yarn has a running length of 600 m to 100 g. You only need two balls of 100 g each. Because I knit very loosely, I decided after two stitches then contrary to the recommendation of needle size 3.5 - 4 for a circular knitting needle of strength 3.0 (last length 120 cm).

After finishing knitting, the cloth was washed as always first, in a towel very gently (!) Expressed and lying stretched with tension wires and T-needles: Since I knew the dimensions of the finished cloth, was always a folding rule next to the cloth / Carefully stretch the wool sufficiently far enough. After two days I have removed wires and needles, but the cloth according to the recommendations of experts before the first in-the-hand take another two days "rest" leave (must ...) Then the dream was allowed for the first time in my hands and warming to the body!

Perhaps again an indication why one does not knit the cloth big enough from the beginning and does not have to wash and stretch it anymore:

Only by the in-mold pulling the damp wool and then lying-dry leave the patterns come out absolutely clear, because the single thread is only completely smooth. This must be taken into account in the mesh sample: It is also washed, stretched and then counted the stitches ...

Because I can imagine that perhaps objections come, the whole thing would be far too complicated: I love such elaborate work (because they challenge me), as well as the joy of the creation process, the result and finally the astonished face of the recipient!
