Knitting with the crochet hook
If you have his knitted parts with one crochet hook Chained off, you get a nice even edge and it's easy on top of that. So so:
You stick the crochet hook from right to left through the first two stitches on the knitting needle. With the hook of the needle, thread the thread through both stitches (not too tight). Keep the noose on the crochet hook. Now pierce through the next stitch from right to left, fetch the thread and pull through again through both stitches until all the stitches are chained off.
