Knives sharpen with old leather belt

You sure know old movies, where the barber sharpens his knife on a piece of leather. An old leather belt that is broken or worn - or has become 10 cm too short in the course of years, still does good in the kitchen for knife sharpening.

The buckle is firmly and securely anchored to a hook. With one hand you stretch the belt, with the free hand one grinds the knife at the edge of the belt, where, where the "raw" edge of the leather is to be seen. It works only with real leather, plastic has no chance! You will see that it works!
