Kohlrabi treat - delicious kohlrabi vegetables

Kohlrabi vegetables - tasty side dish for meat, sausage or fish dishes.

ingredients

  • 2 large kohlrabis
  • 4 potatoes
  • 2 kohlrabi leaves
  • 30 g butter
  • 100 g herb cream cheese
  • 50 ml of cream
  • some nutmeg
  • salt and pepper

preparation

  1. Peel potatoes, wash, fill with water, salt and then simmer for 25 minutes on a small scale.
  2. Now peel the kohlrabi, cut into 1 cm thick slices, then cut into 1 cm strips "just like French fries".
  3. After 15 minutes of potato cooking, put the kohlrabi sticks in a pot of salted water and simmer on medium heat. Simmer both pots for approx. 10 - 12 minutes.
  4. Now turn off the potatoes and drain the water.
  5. Try if the kohlrabi strips have gotten good.
  6. Drain kohlrabi by two-thirds, that is, "one-third remains in the pot" and then collect a small amount of broth while pouring.
  7. To the remaining mass in the pot stir in the butter, the herb cream cheese and the cream and then let melt at low level, then add some of the Kohlrabiblattgrün and stir.
  8. If too thick, add a little of the collected broth, then add some nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste.

Tip: This pork roast, a good bratwurst or a meatloaf, also boulettes, or a chop good.
