Lamb leg of a special kind

("Abbochio al forno" is the name of the court and is said to originate from the Abbruzzo)

For 3? 4 people the following ingredients are needed:
1.5 to almost 2 kg lamb leg (cheap are the frozen from New Zealand)
Salt, black pepper from the mill
3? 5 tablespoons of olive oil
1/4 liter of red wine
1.5 kg of small potatoes
about 150 g of onions
4 cloves of garlic
some rosemary sprigs (at least 2)

So, let's go:
First cut off the coarse fat on the leg. Salt and pepper the meat. Heat the oil in the roasting pan. Fry the club, deglaze with the wine. Bake roast then in the meantime preheated oven at 150 degrees three hours.

Meanwhile, peel, wash and quarter the potatoes. Then peel onions and garlic and finely dice. After 2 hours of cooking, lay the potatoes, onions and garlic around the meatballs, season with salt and sprinkle with the sprigs of rosemary.

All ingredients spend the last hour together in the oven. After the smell in the kitchen almost made you crazy, you just have to serve the roast. Best in the roasting pan.

Extension time 3.5 hours, with the oven doing most of the work alone. Actually, it's not much work at all.
