Lamb stew with vegetables and red wine

Take (for 5 people or one more or less):

  • 1,252 (smile) kg of lamb from the leg or shoulder
  • about 500 g green pepper
  • about 400 g onions (best small)
  • about 500 g of tomatoes
  • 2 toes of garlic or more
  • clarified butter
  • 1 bottle of red wine
  • Hot pepper
  • Tymian and rosemary (fresh is good, dried too)
  • bay leaves
  • salt
  • pepper

And here we go:

Cut the lamb into goulash cubes and season with black pepper from the mill and paprika. Sauté in the clarified butter and wait until all the liquid has evaporated. Pure garlic and then the red wine on it. First, half a liter. Thyme, bay leaves and rosemary pure, salt. Simmer for 45 minutes over low heat.

Peel onions and peppers and cut into larger pieces. After 45 minutes in it.

Simmer for half an hour, maybe add wine and some broth.


Tear tomatoes and add after 30 minutes.

Simmer for 10 minutes, season, possibly season and 10 minutes again
