Leg of lamb with honey
1 lamb leg approx. 1.5 kg
3 el honey
1 bottle of cider or cider (herb)
1 sprig of rosemary
1 sprig of thyme
Salt, pepper, ginger powder
2 apples peeled and gutted
2 onions, peeled and quartered
2 cloves of garlic
4 tbsp olive oil

Season the leg of lamb and pepper and fry them with the onion quarters, garlic and apple pieces in the oil, sprinkle with ginger powder, deglaze with cider, add rosemary and thyme twigs. Coat the meat with the honey, cover it on and off in the oven. Ca.2 - 2 ½ hours at 180 ° C. When doing so, always water the meat with the broth. At the end of the roast time approx. 10 min. switch on the grill.

Good with potatoes, rice or fresh flatbread. And of course a delicious salad
