Lentils with smoked bacon and smoked meat cubes

This dish is prepared very quickly and also very tasty.

So if you are in a hurry and still want to bring a warm, nutritious meal on the table, you should try this dish once.

I think that this dish is also very suitable for shared flats or single households.

ingredients

  • 1 tin of lentils (1000 g)
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 250 g smoked bacon (more or less)
  • 250 g of smoked meat (more or less)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 200 ml of water
  • 1 tsp mustard (tarragon)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • salt
  • Ground pepper

preparation

  1. Cut the bacon and smoked meat into small cubes, chop the onions and garlic
  2. Rinse the lenses with cold water under a strainer
  3. Lightly fry the bacon cubes
  4. Add the onion and garlic and lightly toast
  5. Sprinkle with flour, stir and pour on the water
  6. Add thyme, mustard, vinegar and bay leaf and simmer for about 5 minutes
  7. Add the lentils and the smoked meat and heat
  8. Season with salt and pepper - done
