Limoncello - lemon liqueur

ingredients

  • 8 lemons untreated
  • 900 ml of double grain
  • 900 g of sugar
  • 900 ml of water

preparation

  1. Wash the lemons with hot (!) Water and peel the peel off with a knife (or peeler).
  2. Pour over the shells with the double grain and let stand for 1 week.
  3. Boil 900 ml of water and 900 g of sugar to a syrup. Takes about 10-12 min.
  4. Remove the lemon peel from the alcohol (pick up the alcohol!) And pour into the syrup and leave to infuse for another two days.
  5. Then remove the trays and mix the syrup with the alcohol and bottled.
