Magazine shelf made of picture frames

A picture frame with a wide frame can easily be converted into an extravagant magazine rack. The frame is mounted differently than usual and becomes an eye-catcher.

If a picture frame does not hang on the wall as usual, but the frame is tilted sideways at an angle of 40 to 45 degrees and instead of 3 cm frame depth then 20 cm is mounted protruding into the room, magazines can be easily put into it. It is important that the angle is not too steep, otherwise the magazines will not fit into it. The frame must also be secured with dowels and screws to withstand the weight of the magazines. Accordingly, the holes in the wall must be pre-drilled and provided with dowels. Then attach the frame to the wall with screws and a cordless screwdriver.

This is needed:

  • Square picture frame with wide border (L: 20 cm, W: 20 cm, D: 3 cm)
  • Screws and dowels
  • drilling machine
