Maintain leather jackets

I first looked here - and unfortunately nothing that has really helped me, found. Now I have tried it myself and am really excited about the result!

If your black leather jacket (made of smooth leather) is tapped over time and looks more like "bum-on-the-corner" than something else, then you should try the following: (After that, it looks like new and is back properly waterproof)

This is how it's done:

Clean the jacket and use a sponge and bare water to remove the dirt that accumulates over time.

Lubricate the whole jacket with a thin film of shoe polish cream. Which product you take plays a secondary role - if you have a favorite, take it. ATTENTION: Here you should definitely spread a cloth on the table or something similar, because it could really give a real mess with all the black smears!

Let the jacket dry for at least an hour. All this stuff is moving in during this time.

Take a soft, old rag (some cotton cloth, which you can throw away) and "polish" the whole jacket neatly. I know that's exhausting, but the cleaner you do it, the less the jacket will rub off.

optional:

If you want buy some wax for shoes like mine (mine is based on bee and carnuba wax). Now you lubricate the leather jacket again from top to bottom. Then you leave her hanging somewhere overnight and amazed the next morning how well she looks again, how great she smells and above all how unbelievable she feels - how new!
