Make a board game yourself

To make a board game yourself, you need:

A theme
(for example, pirates, sci-fi, medieval times ...)

Cardboard for the game board

pawns
(for example, miniature figures or figures of human-do not-hassle)

cube

Blank business cards (gives as standard size ready to buy on Din A4 sheets)

Paint and pens

The idea of the game is simply that the winner must finish first. You can play it with 2 to 4 players and roll with a dice.

The first thing you draw on the box with pencil is a long, winding route with individual fields (round or square), the start and the finish. The remainder of the board is painted with a landscape appropriate to the theme chosen, e.g. a starry sky for science fiction or a sea for pirates. The longer the distance, the longer the game lasts.

Now you mark individual fields as "event fields".

You can think of different events that fit the theme, type them in a decorative font and print them on the business cards. Approximately There should be at least 40 different event cards. If they are less, they will repeat soon.

Examples of events:
Science Fiction:
Your spaceship collides with a small asteroid and needs repair. To miss a turn.

pirates:
You flee from an enemy ship that's hot on your tail. Advance two fields.

Middle age:
They accuse you of fraud and put you in the pillory. Go back three fields.

Other actions could be for example:
Go back to your previous position and roll the dice again.

From the front - go back to the start!

Alternatively, events can be printed on thick plain or white paper and cut out one at a time, but this is more elaborate than the perforated business cards.

Such a game is also a nice gift, especially if you adapt the theme to the interests of the recipient.

Then you can come up with special events that resemble inside jokes known only to the recipient and his friends.
