Make a piggy bank from a PET bottle

Great upcycling project for the kids to do crafts and a cute practical decoration piece for the nursery: a piggy bank from a PET bottle.

I'm always amazed what you can tinker so everything from the empty PET bottles. This time I used an empty miller bottle, put the label around and washed it out well.

The bottle is already white, but another transparent bottle is good for it.

I taped my stomach with construction paper and cut the slot for the change with a utility knife. I painted the eyes and nostrils and also cut and glued my ears out of construction paper.

At the end there was a small marigold tail (turn a small piece of paper on a pencil, so the ringlet looks like).

That the pig has good hold and can not tip over, I covered a screw-top with decorative paper and attached the lid with a little hot glue below. Done is your new piggy bank.

You do not have to slaughter the pig if you want to empty it, but simply turn on the bottle cap and take out the money. Therefore, make sure that the screw cap of the bottle is wide enough so that you get the money back out at the end.

Have fun crafting.
