Make a school bag with a graffiti look - Instructions

Honestly, everywhere are these standard school bags for boys? either with pirates, Star Wars figures or football stickers. My child does not feel like doing all this and wants a graffiti treat with monsters. I researched the internet for a long time and did not find anything to help me. Here is my solution for all moms of wild guys with skateboard.

1. The bag

The school bag can be made by hand or you can get a corresponding blank. If you want to make your own, you need a cardboard box. Attach a pencil to a ribbon. With one hand, press the tape on one corner of the sound paper and draw a circle with the pen with the other hand. Then draw a line from the outer circle points. Cut out the whole, roll and stick together. I was the Tonpapiere too thin, so I preferred to take a school bag blank.

2. Spray

The blank is then sprayed with paint from spray cans. The best spray 2-3 colors on top of each other, which comes very close to the graffiti look. The spray cans must be shaken well before use. For spraying school bags, I used the smallest possible spray attachments (super skinny cap and ultra skinny cap). Please only use the spray can outside and underlay a plastic tarpaulin. I drove extra to a skatepark. The spray from the Cans is treacherous, so spray only there, where the need for small splashes of paint do not matter. For spraying, please wear old clothes and wear respiratory protection. When the school bag is sprayed on, it's up to the sign and sticking of monsters and letters.

3. Select motifs

There are no limits to the creativity of the motifs. Some motifs can be found in the skate park around the corner. I just made a few photos of motives, printed in color on paper and glued onto the school bag. In addition to monsters or logos, this can also be photos of skateboards. But without self-designed motifs the school bag is only half as good. Very good with black permanent marker drawn monsters. That requires some practice. The black drawn monsters are drawn on paper and then cut out. They should be big. When they are glued to the school bag with Decopatch, they look very graphic and spatial. Of course, what you should not miss with a graffiti desk bag is the typical lettering.

4. Select font

For enrollment fit the letters ABC, the name of the child, the word school or numbers. There are several fonts for graffiti on the internet. Depending on your taste, letters and numbers can be written on the sprayed school bag with a black permanent marker. It is advisable to practice drawing the selected letters and numbers on paper and then draw on the bag. The drawn block letters can then be painted with a finer permanent marker. But do not grind too flat. The spray paint under the letters should still show through easily. Finally, a lot of stickers may be stuck
