Make bird food place from PET bottle

From an old PET bottle, can quickly and easily produce a great feeding place. You really only need 2 PET bottles, a piece of thread, hot glue, 1 Chinese chopsticks, 1 carpet knife and enough desire to tinker.

The first thing to do is to cut a small hole in one of the bottles at the bottom of each side into which you can insert the chopstick (which of course serves as a bird's nest). A few centimeters above the chopstick you cut now a slightly larger opening, preferably round, so that no bird can hurt. The same is done on the other side too.

So, now it goes to the screw cap of the bottle: this is pierced 2 small holes with a screw and threaded through the thread (for later to hang) best a fishing line, if you have one.

After you have done that, you put the next empty PET bottle on the collar. And you cut it out of some larger but roughly equal pieces out, preferably in drop form. These serve as a small shelter, if it rains, then the water does not just run down and into the feed, but runs away from the side.

Now stick these pieces one after the other at the top, under the top of the bottle stopper, with the help of a hot glue. Use a little more glue.

So, now your new feeding place is ready and you can hang it either on the balcony or in the garden under a tree where shade is. In any case, make sure that the bottle is also transparent, so the birds always have everything in sight and can quickly bring in danger in safety, so colorful bottle would not guess.

Also, you should hang the feeding place a little further up, because they feel safer. Today, as a test, I only added a few dried pieces of apple and some cereals, later I buy birdseed and keep pouring a little. Let's see if the place is now fast talking among the birds;)

Have fun!
