Make candied flowers and petals yourself
For fancy desserts or cakes, I like to use candied flowers or petals as decoration.
Making such flowers is not difficult, but the effect of this decoration is really great.
The flowers or petals - I like very much rose petals - are coated with a whisk with whisked egg whites and then turned into sugar.
Then place them on a baking sheet and let them dry at 50 ° C for a good hour in the oven. Dried, they are stored in a well-closing box. If necessary, then decorated with pies or desserts.
I also like to snack on rose petals or give them tea on the saucer. Beautiful are also candied daisies or candied violets and delicious they are too.
