Make cat toys yourself - for free

Today, for all cat owners, er slaves to their cats, I have a very quick idea for a cat motivation toy:

On the way home I recently stopped at a beer garden and served myself at the abundant chestnuts. At home, I then filled a plastic bowl (in my case, an empty, washed-out ice pack) with the chestnuts. Then my cats were called and showed them how I sunk a few treats in the bowl. I've shaken the chestnuts well, so that the treats slide down!

One of my cats was totally thrilled, as you can see! She does not rest until the last treat is found. The other one thought it was nice, but nothing more. But that's the way it is with cats, you can only offer something they find great, you only know when you've tried it. In this case you have spent at least no money unnecessarily ;-)

This can also be done very well with children, who like to collect chestnuts anyway. In other seasons, of course, all other round materials, such as table tennis balls or even discarded balls from the Deoroller are suitable. Since this idea is implemented in no time at all, it's definitely worth trying it out. Most cats are very popular, mental activity not only keeps people young!
