Make coffee bean scented candle from leftovers
This candle with coffee beans can be easily made and smells really great for fresh coffee when burning.
I had collected enough candlesticks again, Advent candles and Co ... so I made a new one out of it.
material
- remaining candles
- Wick (could be easily removed from a stick candle if you break it in the middle and pull out the wick)
- a Tetra Pak of juice or milk (well washed out)
- Cuttermesser
- coffee beans
- melt an old container to wax
manufacturing
- First I cut or broken all the remnants of the candles and melted them in an old vessel over water vapor.
- In the meantime, cut the empty Tetra Pak in half with the knife, or just as high as you would like the candle to be afterwards, and thoroughly cleaned and dried.
- Wrap the wick in the middle of a skewer or other utensil and place it centrally on the Tetra Pak.
- Spread some coffee beans on the floor and pour in the wax.
- I have always waited a few seconds between pouring and repeatedly inserted new coffee beans, so you also have some of them in the middle, possibly stir something with a shish kebab and distribute the beans. Coffee beans again at the top.
- Then you leave the whole about 7 - 8 hours stand, usually the wax dries when drying the middle of the wick a little bit down, so that a small hollow arises, who bothers, or who wants to give the candle, who can do something again Melt the wax and fill the small hollow with it.
- After drying, it is easy to cut into the corners of the Tetra Pak with the cutter and pull it off the candle, which is easy.
