Make cooling packs of lenses themselves

Perfect cooling packs for knees, elbows, hands and neck can be done quickly with a Stülpa hose bandage and lenses. This cool pack adapts easily to the body shape and is great for cooling injuries in children.

Cool packs are such a thing. If you take them out of the freezer, they are so hard that they are difficult to adapt to the shape of your knees, elbows or hands. A spot almost freezes, while right or left next to it is not cooled. In addition, the cooling packs then come with ice crystals from the freezer.

Quite different is the self-made cooling pad, which consists of a tubular bandage and simple red or brown lenses. The tunnel-shaped bandage is tied at one end and then filled with about 500 g of lenses. Also knot on the other side and into the freezer. The oil of the lenses in combination with the dressing does not produce ice crystals and the cooling pad adapts to any body shape like a plasticine. It can be used immediately, because it is not so hard and freezing cold in the freezer.

This is needed:

  • Stülpa bandage for legs or arms
  • 500 g red or brown lentils
  • scissors
