Make door decoration "heart"
Today I wanted to make a new door decoration, actually it should just be a heart with many white roses (which I wanted to make from the cotton pads), but when it was ready, my daughter said, "Mom that looks like a heart cake Cream cans from haha "and I had to give her the right.
Somehow the heart looks very much like a cake and that's what I liked so much in the end.
If you want to imitate it, you need the following material:
- Wallpaper knife or other cutting object with which you can cut polystyrene.
- A bigger piece of styrofoam, not too thick
- A pack of cotton pads
- craft glue
- Hot glue or other strong glue (for those who do not have a hot glue gun)
- A lettering e.g. Welcome, name or without it. Also you can print something.

How to do it:
- One draws a heart on the Styrofoam, how big is up to you, then it is cut out with the knife.
- Now you put the lettering in the middle (I had left of an old decoration) and stick it firmly.
- Now comes the hard task of cutting and shaping the cotton pads, that takes a bit longer than I thought. To do this, it is best to always put two pieces on top of each other and cut a snail pattern with the pair of scissors, as can be seen on picture 3. Then you roll from the middle outwards and glued the end with craft glue.
- Now if you have made a few thousand pieces (no fun), so a lot of roses, you can already begin to stick them on the heart. I took hot glue, it works very fast. Do not forget the outer edge either, the heart should be covered everywhere with the white rose heads, only the writing in the middle saves you from.
Now your new door trim is finished, have fun!
