ingredients
- 5 rolls, gladly from the day before
- 300 ml of milk
- 3 eggs
- 120 g of butter
- 1 onion
- parsley
- Salt, pepper, nutmeg
preparation
Dice the rolls. Bring the milk to a boil and pour over the breadcrumbs. Cover for ten minutes. Fry the onion cubes in the butter. Whisk the eggs in a bowl. Add the eggs, the onion cubes and the parsley to the breadcrumbs. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and knead thoroughly. The mass you can now
- either wrap in a kitchen towel
- or wrap in aluminum foil and additionally in cling film
- or fill in a frying tube
I decided on the frying tube. You can also close it nicely. Put the packet in hot water and simmer the napkin dumpling with a slightly opened pot lid for about 40 minutes. Take the finished dumplings out of the bag and cut into slices.
Serviettenknödel are a great side dish to roast or if you still have a bit of goulash sauce left. Good Appetite!
