Make Nicholas boot yourself

It will soon be time again, Nicholas is coming. The first time that our mouse is aware of it! And how many mothers did I run forever through the shops to get a nice Santa's boot. No indication, there are only those old socks or which are made of porcelain.

That's when I came up with an idea, why not make it yourself, it will not be that hard.

Materials:

  • 1 old children's boots / rubber boots (often available for 1 Euro or less at the flea market)
  • old newspaper
  • paste
  • a bowl
  • water
  • ink
  • Füllwolle
  • White paper
  • clear liquid glue

This is how it's done:

  1. I assume that you cleaned the rubber boots thoroughly before (mine was in the washing machine at 40 ° C with the other laundry).
  2. Put some paste in the bowl with water.
  3. Meanwhile, cover the workplace with an old tablecloth or old newspaper and tear newspaper into small pieces. Immerse the chips one by one in the paste and glue them on the rubber boots. First of all, all provided with a base layer of 2-3 sheets of papier-mâché.
  4. Now you can let your creativity run wild and model it out beautifully with a few wrinkles.
  5. If you are satisfied with your modelage, make another layer of white paper so that you have a uniform base color. Now it has to dry for about a day.
  6. If the boot is dry, you can paint it beautiful red (or otherwise) with the ink.
  7. At the top of the shaft you leave about 2-3 cm white and sticks some filler wool as soft fur.
