Make pictures from leaves yourself
Now autumn is coming soon and you have many nice leaves for crafting. Here is a suggestion for interested moms:
Last year my daughter and I created these pictures together. That was our first collaboration, which was only for me alone, now they hang here and I often think of these hours.
Batstelmaterialien for the cork picture
- dried leaves of all kinds & manners
- glue stick
- 1 large piece of construction paper 70 x 50 cm
- 1 big white sheet of paper
- cork
- Pencil, eraser, scissors
- Frame 70 x 50 cm
- Frame 35 x 45 cm
I collected the leaves in preparatory work and pressed them.
Then we drew the tree with the pencil on the big, thin cork plate and then worked it out with the fingers and the scissors and glued it on the paper.
In the branches we have then added something, we have used the cork residues. The pencil residue can be easily removed with a soft eraser.
Now it went to the leaves: we have always put on and looked, this selection took actually the longest, until we agreed.
Then fix the leaves with a little glue stick and the picture was ready, which then has to dry well before putting it in the frame.
The other picture (35 x 45 cm), we have only completely covered with the remaining leaves and this fixes as well as possible. When framing we had to rework much there, so that the surface did not shimmer out.
