Making advent calendars out of coffee-to-go cups

Coffee-to-go mugs are not particularly eco-friendly. Nevertheless, I catch myself again and again with such a mug in my hand. Now I have collected them and made it an advent calendar.

To my shame, I must confess that I had the 24 coffee cups for the advent calendar relatively quickly together. First you realize how many cups you would have thrown in the garbage.

Wash all cups thoroughly and dry. I have covered my cups with wrapping paper. If you want you can also paint the cups. To make it faster, I took a cup apart and made it a template for cutting the paper. Now just write numbers on it or stick on number stickers, fill cups and close. With 4-trays, which are actually intended for the transport of the cups, the cups can be stacked. But they can also be tied to a banister or hung with a tack on the wall.

This is needed:

  • 24 coffee-to-go cups
  • Colorful paper
  • glue stick
  • scissors
  • number sticker
  • Band and possibly tacks
