Making chocolate butterfly

A beautiful chocolate butterfly enchants every dessert to an eye-catcher.

This butterfly can be made super quick with the help of a book, it looks great on ice, pudding, creams or cakes and pies.

For this you need:

  • 1 book
  • 1 piece of baking paper
  • Couverture according to taste
  • Piping bag or a freezer bag

This is how it's done:

  1. In the meantime, cut the piece of baking paper to the size of the unfolded book and press it well into the middle of the pages, perhaps with your fingernail as an aid.
  2. When the chocolate is melted, pour it into a pastry bag or a freezer bag (that's how I did it, cutting a small hole down)
  3. Now you can start painting / painting the body of the butterfly in the middle of the book, then the wings, etc.
  4. When that's done, just squeeze the book a little and put it in the fridge so it should not be lying on the book, but should be in the position as you can see on one of the pictures. Otherwise, the wings are not high later and the butterfly would be flat hard.
  5. After about 30 minutes, the butterfly is ready and you can get the book out of the fridge, the butterfly dissolves easily from the baking paper. In addition I must say, it would be better to paint the butterfly a little thicker, since otherwise it could break fast.
  6. Now it can already be decorated with it.

Have fun!
