Making eggnog chocolates yourself

Time

Preparation time: 30 min.
Total preparation time: 30 min.

A few years ago, I saw this recipe in advertising from a food discount store and then tried it out.

ingredients

  • 200 g white chocolate
  • 25 g of butter
  • 150 g of ground almonds
  • 75 ml eggnog

preparation

  1. The butter is slowly melted with the chocolate.
  2. Then the other ingredients are simply stirred.
  3. For better processing, put the bowl in the refrigerator overnight (as I often decide to do so at short notice, I simply place the bowl in the freezer for a while).
  4. Then, with a teaspoon, a small amount of the dough is tapped and shaped into bite-sized balls (I always make the molds with the gloves, because after a while I feel the molten residues of the mass very unpleasant on the "bare" hands).
  5. You can roll the balls in ground almonds or cocoa or cover them with chocolate. That's up to you.

Since the chocolates taste best when chilled, please keep them in the fridge.

For durability, unfortunately, I can not give any details. They are guaranteed to last a week. They have not survived longer with us.

The photos show the decorated and arranged chocolates, which I had prepared as a gift for a diamond wedding :)
