Making roses out of tealight bowls

You need:

  • hot glue
  • about 5 cm craft wire
  • aluminum foil
  • 3 to max. 4 tealights per rose (empty of course?)

That is how it goes:

Cut the shells, two pieces 4 times each and two pieces each 5 times to almost the middle. Then round off the corners a bit. Work out the petals with a teaspoon and your fingernails, it works very well, because Alu is quite flexible.

With a darning needle, I have drilled a hole in the middle of each shell, then pressed a small foil ball onto the flower wire - this is the heart of the flower.

Now load the pistol and thread the first bowl with 5 petals and place them tightly around the foil ball. Oh yes, glue blob in every shell. The second shell with 5 leaves is not quite as tight. Glue blob on the floor. The third bowl - Glue - Fourth bowl - ready!

As you can see, I also gilded some roses.

Have fun!
