Marzipan cake
On vacation, I found this fantastic recipe for a marzipan cake!
You need
- 6 eggs
- 275 g of sugar
- 500 g of ground almonds
- pinch of salt
- Cup of a lemon
- powdered sugar
preparation
- Stir frothy eggs, at least 10 minutes, so that the mass is thick and creamy.
- Let the sugar trickle in afterwards. Add a pinch of salt and the lemon peel and then spoonful the ground almonds.
- The whole comes in a baking paper designed form (26 cm) and baked at 150 degrees for about 1 hour.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Without much effort, you have a quickly prepared, totally delicious cake.
The baking process transforms the almonds with the sugar and the eggs into 'marzipan', which is therefore a gold treasure for marzipan lovers.
