Mayonnaise without egg - according to Klara's Art

Klara loves mayonnaise. In salads, on hard-boiled eggs, with pieces of vegetable. Therefore, Klara was quite well served, as her gynecologist said: Better not eat raw eggs during pregnancy. Klara is in the fourth month.

Yesterday we had a barbecue in the garden and Klara arrived radiant with a potty full of firm mayonnaise.

How, I said, I think you should not eat raw eggs? Are there no eggs at all, do you want to hear the recipe?


And here for all those who can / may not eat raw eggs, or simply have misgivings to eat Mayo with raw egg in the summer heat:

You need a narrow high vessel, a hand blender.

1 part whole milk
2 parts of oil
1 tsp mustard
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt pepper


The ingredients come together in the jar and everything is whisked. It's going to be a solid mayo. The mustard also helps as an emulsifier.

Afterwards one can, depending on the taste, add any ingredient. For example, Gürkchen, garlic, tomato paste.

The mayo tasted great, everyone was amazed that it goes without a raw egg!
