Memorize poetry easier

Some children have difficulty memorizing poetry from school. Often they spend hours memorizing the right words and are in despair. The following tips can help children memorize poems:

The poem is often read aloud and the content is discussed with an adult.
The poem is sung and as the text is spoken, the child walks around the room.
Depending on the content of the text suitable gestures are practiced, which accompany the poem when posting.

As a general rule, children can remember content or words better if they associate them with a movement. Memorizing is more fun for the children, the child gets a personal connection to the poem and the poem will playfully remember.
