Mending children's tights without plugs
My 3-year-old granddaughter likes to wear skirts and tights, but is a little tomboy, and so she often has holes in the knee. And I have never been able to stuff, because the holes are even bigger than they were before.
But throwing away is often too bad. And even though I'm a granny who can not stuff, I'm not awkward and definitely creative.
I crochet a motif in a suitable color of thin crochet yarn, e.g. a flower, a smiley, a check, a heart, a bow, just what fits the pantyhose. The hole is pulled a little and the motif is sewn with a few stitches.
My granddaughter loves the tights very much, sometimes I even suspect that she is deliberately making the holes in it.
