Microwave eggs to go a la konsti

The result of this recipe can be eaten either as a party snack or sliced on bread.

What you need:

  • Eggs (according to number of persons, at least 2 per person)
  • diced smoked ham
  • chopped chives, parsley
  • 1 chopped chilli chop
  • coarsely ground white pepper
  • salt
  • Muffin silicone molds (preferably a contiguous set of 6), but individual molds go just as well.
  • Kitchen towel for covering the molds during the cooking process (against possible splashes)
  • Edible fat (oil or butter) for greasing the silicone molds

preparation

Chop the ham, chives, parsley and chilli and mix with coarsely ground pepper and a little salt (not too much salt, because the ham already contains a lot of it)

Whisk eggs and stir in the ham and herb mixture in the ratio 70/30, (70% eggs, 30% ham-herbs).

Lightly grease silicone molds with oil

Pour egg whites into the molds (max 3/4 full), place the molds in the microwave and cover with a kitchen towel. Set the microwave to 450 watts, and set the cooking time for 50 seconds and start. For me, I then reached the optimum degree of cooking.

If the eggs are not cooked for you after 50 seconds, you increase the cooking time at the same wattage, one or several steps, if necessary, 15 seconds, until the result is to your liking. You write down the total time value for the next time.

Appropos taste:

Try ml as a substitute for the ham of diced feta cheese or small cubes Old Amsterdam. Very good are also diced sausage, meatloaf, boiled ham, grilled chicken breast, etc.

And those were just some of the spicy variations ... I'm just experimenting with some sweet variations of the subject.
