Mood lights - laminated lanterns

It is getting rather dark now and you also need candles in every form as mood lights. I wrap them by making different covers for them.

My neighbor has a laminator and did not really know what to do, because we once made a nice "women's afternoon" something together.

One of these candle parts I had once received from someone as a gift, I took her as an example with over. She thought that was nice and was looking forward to the tinkering.

craft materials

  • Laminator
  • laminating
  • different napkins
  • Bow ribbon, raffia etc.
  • punch
  • pinking shears

Bastel process

  1. At first we thought about how big we wanted to make the parts, and we put the laminating foil on the napkins and looked at how it goes with the motifs of the napkins.
  2. One of these parts had been given to me by someone, which we took in terms of size as an example.
  3. You finally have to know what size you want. Our parts have grown 16 x 16 and 17 x 17.
  4. Then we cut napkins and foil and laminated these two parts together.
  5. For some parts we cut the edges with pinking scissors, others left the edge smooth.
  6. Finally, we punched 2 holes on each side, pulled through bands, knotted them, and thus had two identical parts connected to each other.

Now only a candle-glass with candle in and already a pleasant light was ready for lethargic hours.

We want to repeat this with autumn napkins, because none of us had any in the house.

But we have just tried a light for Advent, which one can use well later.
