Move geraniums for next year

Geraniums can be easily multiplied by cuttings. For this one cuts off the plant stems over a Blattachsel and puts them into damp earth.

Soon, roots and new leaves form. I always do this in late summer or early autumn, when the geraniums are so abundant that they do not stand out when you thin them out a bit.

The small plants hibernate in a moderately warm place, in our bedroom or under the roof.

Once roots have formed, just pour moderately and fertilize once a month. Next year I will have an almost free geranium splendor.
