A delicious marble cake with cream filling: Muh Muh cake

ingredients

For the dough:

  • 1 pack of marble cake (ready mix)
  • or own marble cake recipe

preparation

  1. Grease a baking tray or cover it with baking paper.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  3. Now prepare the marble cake mixture according to the packing instructions.
  4. The bright dough is spread evenly on the plate.
  5. The dark dough is sprinkled with a tablespoon on the light dough.
  6. The cake is baked at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes (chopstick sample).
  7. Then take it out of the oven and let it cool down.

ingredients

For the filling:

  • 500 ml of milk
  • 200 g cream-muh-muhs (cream toffees)
  • 1 pck. Custard powder
  • 200 g soft butter

preparation

  1. Remove some of the milk to stir in the pudding powder.
  2. Put the rest of the milk in a pan and heat over moderate heat.
  3. Dissolve the unwrapped toffees with constant stirring.
  4. When the toffees have dissolved, bring the toffee milk to a boil (turn the oven up), stir in the mixed custard powder and bring to a boil.
  5. Let the pudding cool a bit. (I have always touched it)
  6. Put the soft butter in a bowl and beat until fluffy with the hand mixer.
  7. When the pudding has cooled slightly, add it in small portions with the butter, stirring constantly.
  8. You stir the mass until everything has combined into a cream.

completion

  1. Divide the cooled cake in the middle.
  2. Spread the butter cream on one half and put the other half on top.
  3. Possibly put a rectangular cake border around. If you first make the cream a little firmer in the fridge. it works, even without a cake border.
  4. Now either sprinkle with apricot jam and decorate. Or as I put indiscriminately polka-dot with stiff whipped cream and chocolate caramel cream (200 ml cream each).
  5. You can also decorate the individual pieces of cake with cream patties (but then you need more).

Well chilled, the cake is delicious and is also prepared quickly.
