Multiply mint

Mint is easy to multiply.

All you have to do is take a stalk into a transparent glass of water and then wait, wait, wait.

After about 1-2 weeks, the first roots form. Until the roots are so solid enough for planting, I would then wait another 2-3 weeks, depending on how fast the roots grow.

freespirit: I join Tamora and Baerbel-the-good, because I also have mint in the garden and the stuff increases like weeds. Yeah, just not getting it small, even if it looks like winter is coming.

As soon as it gets warmer again, the mint sprout as if they want to set a new record.

Must say, however, that I have never held a kitchen herb good for a long time when I put it in his supermarket Top in the kitchen on the windowsill. So I always plant everything in my garden, and use the herbs for cooking, and what is too much is also "harvested", chopped and frozen for the cold season. fantine: Last year I tried to multiply mint in the flower pot. I had received a sprig of mint from a colleague and simply planted it in potting soil and watered it regularly, just so that the soil is always slightly moist. That worked out wonderfully. Unfortunately he came to me over the winter. So I'll try your tip now, but I'm sure in my experience with potting soil from last year that it will work. Thumbs up and thanks for the tip!
