My husband is a huge Mutzbraten fan, but unfortunately he does not have the time to throw on the Mutzbraten grill more often. That's why I've tried it with the oven and roasting tube, I think I've done well. Here is the recipe:
(Of course you can also take bought Mutzbraten, I made it myself)
preparation
- I brought 1 kg of roast pork for 3 people and cut it into generous square pieces.
- Seasoned these pieces the day before (salt, pepper, paprika) and coated with mustard from all sides. And then rolled in marjoram.
- Simply place in the fridge with it overnight and on the day you just sew in a frying tube (without oil or anything else) and cook at 180 degrees convection for a good 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- The crust was crispy and the meat very tender. Of course, it's not the same as the fire, but I think it's pretty close.
- It goes well with sauerkraut, mustard and fresh bread.
