Naturally fertilize with stinging nettle
Here a great tip for the natural fertilization of vegetables and flowers: Nettle
Nettle is produced by collecting fresh stinging nettles, cutting them into small pieces and then adding a vat of water to a küberl - then it takes about 7-10 weeks for the whole to ripen - you can see the degree of ripeness of the typical smoldering smell - the more it stinks, so much the better. Carefully stir occasionally to add oxygen. Then you scoop off the leaves and stem parts - even better you filtered the concentrate by means of z. B. an old nylon stocking. The concentrate is diluted about 1:10 with water and then poured. It is an excellent fertilizer.
According to a source that I could not find anymore, 1 kg nettle supposedly contain:
- Nitrate 1495 mg
- Phosphorus 1021 mg
- Potassium 3375 mg
In addition to the fertilizing property, nettle jelly also helps with aphids.
