No hassle with stains on kitchen worktop made of wood

A kitchen counter made of wood is beautiful but extremely delicate. From now on I can only laugh about spots, thanks to Angie.

For two years I have a kitchen worktop made of oiled oak wood, feels nice, looks great, but is extremely sensitive, especially when three teenagers and their visitors share the kitchen. I kept grooming the surface, admonished the teenagers, scolded them, cleaned them up, sanded them, reground them, oiled them ... But as soon as I got careless and did not pay attention like a shooting dog, the next stain was in it.

Often it was a cookie jar, a pen, scissors, etc. made of unrefined metal in conjunction with leaked liquids that have left their marks on the wood. Looked really ugly and could not get away with anything, except with regrinding.

So I thought, if I can not prevent the spots, then at least they should look nice or funny. So I took a short hand Edding and painted a smiley face out of half a can print. :-) And now this stain conjures a smile on my face every time I come to the kitchen. And not just me: the whole family is happy.

Laughing faces have been shown to have a positive effect on the body, soul and spirit and provide me in any case for great serenity. Dear laugh lines as gray hair!

When I photographed the stain, my camera's face recognition wanted to know who was laughing so nicely, so I named the spot "Angie" because the corners of her mouth sometimes need some tuition (others call their dishwasher "Mrs. Merkel "but we are already talking to us :-)).

Let's see what I make from the next patch, maybe a mandala out of cookie cutters?
