No too dark cake bottom

Here is a tip for baking beginners: I bake very rarely and have often asked myself, why often with the pie shell has become too dark, or even burnt while the rest of the cake is barely cooked (wooden stick method?).

My mother happened to be there when I put a cake in the oven and immediately realized what I was doing wrong: I put the cake on the baking sheet. It is better, however, to bake the cake on the grate, because the sheet heats up in the oven again extra and gives the extra heat to the bottom of the cake!

For the same reason you bake pizza again only on the (best preheated) metal!
