Old mattress but no budget for a new one?
Hello, my 10 year old mattress (180 x 200 cm) should have been renewed after 8 years actually urgently. I slept badly and every night was a bit connected to "horror" ... and it took me a long time to find out that the bad sleep actually came from the mattress! But a reasonable mattress that cost a little something, (1200 Euronen minimum ?!) The budget for it was not there. So I searched for a mattress cover and found a "viscoelastic mattress pad" with 12 cm thickness (on Ebay).
You simply put it on top of what you have on it, it's just as normal as a mattress and, best of all, you sleep like in heaven! This is the material that adapts to the body through the heat given off. The mattress cost 130 euros in my measure. The 12 cm thickness worthwhile, but I think that you can compensate with 6 or 8 cm already quite a lot, also depends on the "wear" of the old mattress.
That the bed is now 12 cm higher, is more advantageous for getting in and out, to refer to I just take the next larger size, then you do not see the "double pack". To all critics: I tried it and I am very satisfied. Only my contribution, and hopefully help if someone sleeps just as bad, or is dissatisfied with his existing mattress.
