Onion soup with cheese

Since I'm a real soup kasper and love onions, today I send you my recipe for 4 people.

ingredients

  • 5-6 large onions
  • 1 heaped TL thyme
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch of sugar
  • 1 good shot of white wine
  • about 1 L cube soup
  • toasted white bread
  • grated Emmentaler

preparation

  1. Cut the onions into cubes, fry in a saucepan. Deglaze with white wine until the alcohol has evaporated.
  2. Then add cube soup and season.
  3. Meanwhile, toast the bread and finely grate the cheese.
  4. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top heat / circulating air.
  5. Put the soup in a fireproof cup, put the bread on the soup and sprinkle with cheese.
  6. Put in the oven and wait until the cheese is baked light brown.
  7. Since I also like to eat warm cheese, I also add grated cheese between the soup.
