Onion wrap for the ear - without the pillow stinks

Today I had to wrap my son an onion packet on the ear against the ear pain. Since the onion juice not only "works" on the ear, but also makes the whole pillow and the environment smelling, I came up with the idea to seal the packet on the outside with a panty liner.

So: the finely chopped, very lightly steamed (so they are a little warm) onions wrapped as usual in a piece of gauze bandage, put the packet on the ear. Then put half a panty liner or a cut piece of ultrathin bandage with the plastic foil on the outside and wrap the whole thing with self-adhesive sports bandage (which is also available in red or blue, kids cool) on the head.

So the whole thing is reasonably sealed from the outside and - another advantage - even the child feels more comfortable, because it does not permanently perceive the smell of onion and does not have the feeling to smell terrible for onions! :-)
